On March 26th, 2007, the inaugural meeting of Multilingual Department was held in China Translation and Publishing Corporation. Under company leaders' instruction, the new director Xiaodan Zhang, deputy director Yan Hu and other staff members of the department together generated development strategies and defined the work focus.

Young as the new department, it has a group of outstanding translators, most of whom have master's degrees or above or have overseas experiences. They are not only proficient in their own special languages, but also competent in English translation. Besides, an advisory group comprised of senior domestic and foreign specialists and scholars is also a strong backbone.

At present, CTPC Multilingual Dept. can undertake translation of French, Spanish, Russian, Japanese and German, etc. The fields cover finance, technology, mechanism, culture, social science, medicine and law, etc.
