为服务“一带一路”国家战略，加强国际组织人才培养，扩大国际组织语言服务人才战略储备，中国对外翻译有限公司联合多家联合国机构及国际组织，于2020 年4月2日至5月6日举办首届“中译国际组织青年人才杯”（以下简称“中译国青杯”）联合国文件翻译大赛。
本次大赛由中国对外翻译有限公司主办，联合国语言人才培训体系项目办公室承办，联合国训练研究所（UNITAR）中国地区国际培训中心指导，全球契约中国网络（联合国全球契约组织地方网络）支持举办，并获得联合国全球契约组织（UNGC）亚太区总代表的特别支持，多位前联合国高级官员担任大赛指导专家。
近日，联合国驻华协调员Nicholas Rosellini（罗世礼）先生亲自向大赛主办方中国对外翻译有限公司和广大参赛者发来支持致辞，呼吁更多有才华的语言专业人士产出高质量的翻译，促进联合国可持续发展目标与国际对话的实现，并鼓励中国青年积极参与本次大赛，了解联合国的工作和使命，并在未来把握中文语言人才参与国际事务的机会。

Video Address for the 2020 CTC Youth Cup for International Organisation Documents Translation Competition
Hello! I am Nicholas Rosellini, UN Resident Coordinator in China.
大家好！我是联合国驻华协调员罗世礼。
I am delighted to learn about the launch of the CTC Youth Cup for International Organisation Documents Translation Competition. I’d like to extend my best wishes to China Translation Corporation, the sponsor of this event.
我很高兴地获悉“中译国青杯”联合国文件翻译大赛已正式启动。我谨向本次大赛的主办单位中国对外翻译有限公司致以最诚挚的祝愿。
Translation plays a significant role in facilitating international communications. It spearheads the promotion of UN’s initiatives and mission, and helps improve the awareness of Sustainable Development Goals, or SDGs, among the public and in professional circles. The achievement of the SDGs concerns everyone.
翻译在促进国际交流方面，发挥着极为重要的作用。翻译是传播联合国倡议和使命的先锋， 能够帮助公众和业界提高对联合国可持续发展目标的认识。而可持续发展目标的实现，与我们每个人都息息相关。
Therefore, it is crucial to articulate the meanings of SDGs with accurate language so that the significance of the goals can be clearly conveyed to everyone. This requires not only the translation of relevant UN documents into Chinese, but also sharing China’s stories of SDGs across the world in universal world languages.
因此，用准确的语言阐明可持续发展目标的含义，让每一个人都能清楚地了解这些目标，这一点至关重要。这不仅需要将联合国有关文件翻译成中文，还需要用各国通用语言在全世界范围内，分享中国的可持续发展目标的故事。
As China’s engagement in global governance increases, the demand of translation services is rising accordingly to enable smooth cross-cultural exchanges and dialogues. We need more talented language professionals to produce good quality translations to facilitate international exchanges and share China’s experience with the rest of the world.
随着中国参与全球治理的程度越来越高，翻译服务的需求也相应增加，以促进跨文化交流与对话的顺利进行。我们需要更多有才华的语言专业人士提供高质量的翻译，促进国际交流，并与世界分享中国的经验。
Therefore, I wish to take this opportunity to call for attention of language professionals and those who are interested in translation to join us and contribute your talent and expertise to the promotion of SDGs and boosting international dialogues.
因此，我想借此次“中译国青杯”联合国文件翻译大赛，呼吁语言专业人士和对翻译感兴趣的人士加入我们的行列，为促进可持续发展目标和推动国际对话，贡献你们的才华和专长。
I believe that this competition can play an important part in introducing the work and mission of UN to Chinese young people and offering Chinese language talents an opportunity to engage in international affairs.
